Whilst not as romantic as an open fire, the radiator is still the most used heating appliance used today. Generally they are an efficient and cost effective method of heating homes. However, the concept of the radiator has been around a long time – the Romans were purported to have basic radiators systems and under floor heating – and as a method of heating our homes the radiator is not perfect.
Radiators suffer from two design faults which inhibit their efficiency. Firstly, they are positioned flat against walls, whilst this is obviously the best place for them to save space, it means half their radiant heat is being directed at the wall.
Secondly, radiators are a pressurised plumbing system. Airlocks can commonly build up which prevents the hot water from getting to all of the radiators. (more…)

They have to be elegant yet tough, decorative yet durable, and as far as possible, represent an extension of our personality which we’re prepared to put on show to the outside world.

Landscape design may sound very technical and difficult especially if you will consider the many aspects of landscaping. You can spend a whole year mastering the many details about landscaping but if you need to know the basics for your garden or your backyard to make it more attractive and coherently arranged, then landscaping is not as difficult as it may sound. You just need to understand some basic terminologies, apply you creativity and artistry and your patience for the detailed manual work and you are good to go in coming up with a better lawn, garden or yard.
All design activities, in principle, involve the same elements. Design may be implemented in many forms like website, logo or software design. Interior design is also another form. If you will consider closely, these design areas have the same principle. The elements of colour, form, scale, line and texture are in any way or another found in these different design areas.
