Lush foliage and hanging plants create the friendly welcoming effect at the entrance of home. A few antique pieces serve as accents at main entrance door. Note how extended windows have been made into extra sitting area. Neat arrangement for corridor leading to rooms’ Antique chairs and mirrors are secondary accents here. Actually, bright rooms are an asset, says our designer. They are much more cheerful especially for the children in the family, if there are any. But of course this is all a matter of individual taste. If you feel that you’d like a more subdued atmosphere you can play around with darker shades of green, for instances, but start off with basic colors, like sand or beige for the floor and walls. You wouldn’t have any difficulty matching other color schemes with it later on. Our designer suggests easy cleaning ceramic floor tiles of 22 x 26 cm size for the living room. The living room is a study in impressive simplicity. The theme is brown and mustard yellow, brightened up quite effectively by orange tones (note floor cushions and scatter cushion on the left of sofa).
